The University of Missouri continues to remove asbestos from campus. The latest phase set to end within a few weeks involves removing the hazardous material from underground pipelines.
The next phases involve the removal of asbestos from a number of buildings on campus which is expected to last through 2008.
Asbestos is found in many college campuses especially in older
buildings. Most universities publish notices regarding asbestos
on campus and have special programs to handle any problems.
