Asbestos Found in Former School Building

Sydney – A former teachers lounge has been found to contain asbestos following inspections by the Ministry for Education and Training.

The building located on the Maraylya Public School campus is now surrounded by a fence and is off-limits for students and faculty.

Asbestos has been found in a school building northwest of Sydney, the NSW government says.

Officials said that the building posed no immediate health risks and that asbestos will be removed in the near future.
